[BT TELEGRAPH. — PRESS ASSOCIATION.] HASTINGS, Taewisy. The Governor-General and Lady Alice Fergusson arrived n«re last evening and were met by the Mayor and council and representatives of other public bodies. A warm welcome was extended by a large assemblage of the public. Tfcey were entertained at a public dinner. To-day they visited public and privat® schools, had luncheon at the Rotary C.'nb, and visited Marekakaho station. They will be entertained again this evening and a full programme has arranged lor tomorrow, -
