KNOCKED DOWN BY CAR.
ACCIDENT AT ROYAL OAK. WOMAN'S COLLARBONE BROKEN. Royal Oak was the scene of a motor accident shortly before nine o'clock last night, Mrs. Walter May being knocked down as she was crossing Auckland Road, just in front of her residence. The motor-car was driven by Mr. Arthur Haydon, of Seccombe's Road, Newmarket, who was proceeding to town. Fortunately Mrs. May was not run over by the car, but her collarbone was broken. Sir. Hay don quickly picked her up. Mrs. May's sons heard the noise of the accident from the house and immediately ran out. Dr. Harke attended Mrs. May at her residence.
