MARIST MISSIONARY DEAD.
RECENT ENGLISH ARRIVAL. [PROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] SUVA. . Sent. 23. Tho Rev. Father Hill, who has just died here, was born in the small town of Stokesley in Yorkshire 28 years ago, and after being trained at a Marist College in Paris, he came out to Fiji in February last to join the Catholic Mission here. On arrival ha was quarantined with a ship's company and he proved the life and soul of the crowd. A little later he was appointed priest to the district of Naiserelagi on Viti Levu Bay in the north coast of Viti Levu. He became ill a week or so ago and came to Suva and decided to visit Sydney for medical advice, but he became so ill that he was admitted to the hospital cn Friday and died yesterday.
