SCOTTISH MURDER CASE.
DEATH OF LITTLE GIRL. ACCUSED'S GUILT UN DTSUBT. FRESH EVIDENCE OBTAINED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received 7.5 p.m„) and N.Z. LONDON. Oct. 5. The Daily Express says that at Glasgow in November, 1924, a four-y ears-old girl was assaulted and murdered at Stirling. Alexander Bickerstaffe was charged with the crime, but was not put on trial owing to his mental condition. Ho was ordered to be detained during His Majesty's pleasure. Accused always declared his innocence. As a result of new evidence which has come to light the police are now seeking four men who gave evidence against Bickerstaffe. It is expected that the discovery of these men will result in the release of the detained man.
