TYPHOID AT OPOTIKI.
"NO CAUSE FOR ALARM."
"There is no causo for alarm and we have the outbreak well under control," said Dr. If. Chesson, medical officer of health, yesterday in reference to the nine cases of typhoid admitted to Opotiki Hospital. Dr. Chesson said there had been no further cases during the past week. All the natives in the district were being inoculated and the native nurses were making a thorough search for suspects. Ho did not think the disease would spread to any extent.
