LIGHT-WEIGHT BOXING.
WORLD'S CHAMPIONSHIP. BERLENBACH BEATS McTIGUE. (Received 5.5 p.m.) Reuter. NEW YORK. May 30. Paul Berlenbach became light-weight champion boxer of the world by defeating Mike McTigue on points in a 15 rounds contest. It was a case of a hard-hitting youth meeting a middle-aged boxer. With a great defence Berlenbach gradually wore down his opponent.
