MUTINOUS GIRLS.
ROME REFORMATORY SCENE. NUNS LOCKED IN BASEMENT. A. and N.Z. BOMB. Mar. 8. Three hundred girls in a reformatory mutinied against the alleged severity of their punishment. They locked the nuns in the cellar and hurled tiles at the police from the roof. The Mother Superior, unobserved, locked the door and threw the key into the street. This enabled the police to enter. Three girls were arrested and imprisoned.
