FIGURES FOR JANUARY. IMPORTS EXCEED EXPORTS. Renter. . LONDON. Feb. 12. The Board of Trade returns show that the imports to Britain in January were valued at £128,90?,000 and the exports at £69,050,000. Compared with the returns for January, 1924, the increase in imports was. £27,719,000, and in exports £4,815,000. The principal increases were:—lmports: Grain and flour, £4,745.000; meat, £3.382.000; non-dutiable food and drink, £2.576,000; wool, £5,037.000: cotton, £1,194,000; other textiles. £2,086,000; oil' seeds, etc., £1,485,000. Exports: Cotton-yarns manufactures, £3,582,000.
