AUSTRALIAN WOOL.
REDUCED OFFERINGS. DECISION OF SELLERS. A. and N.Z. MELBOURNE. Feb. 13. A joint conference of the Australian Wool Growers' Council and the National Council of the wool-selling brokers of Australia resolved to curtail their offerings to accord with the limited powers of buyers now attending auctions at the different centres. It was decided to curtail the offerings in future by 50 per cent. Although the resulting prolongation of the sales may cause growers whose wool has not yet been offered at auction some temporary inconvenience, it is generally felt that this will be outweighed by the compensation of a firmer market and greater stability in the matter of prices. These it is hoped will result from tho proposed curtailment.
