MIRRORS NOW COMPULSORY.
It is not generally . understood by motorists that under the Auckland City Council by-law No. 36 (4) it is now compulsory for all mechanically propelled vehicles to carry a mirror. The by-law reads as follows —No person shall in any street .or private street drive any mechanically propelled vehicle (motor-cycles excepted) unless the same is equipped with a mirror so adjusted that the driver shall have a clear and sufficient view of the street and of the traffic following such vehicle.
