THE PRINCE AND " LIZZIE".

While the Prince's visit to Detroit was short, it was crowded with activity. Arriving in his special car at the Ford Junction, the Prince had by 4 o'clock inspected the, most interesting parts of the manufacturing plants.. The Prince first visited the Highland Park plant of the Ford Motor Company. Ho was conducted through by Henry and Eclsel Ford. The Prince's party then was rushed to the Lincoln Motor Car Company, and after a short visit there it continued to the River Rouge plant of the Ford Company. Everywhere the Prince appeared he was greeted by cheering crowds. It was said that £10,000 was expended by Mr. Ford in tearing out machinery and widening the aisles so that the Prince could be driven through tho Lincoln plant in automobile. The Prince's visit to tho Highland Park plant of the Ford company included a trip along the assembly line where tho cars are finished for shipment. As a completed car rolled from the assembly lino the Prince, Henry Ford and Edsel Ford got in and drove around the yarns. Arriving at the Lincoln plant, the Princo observed behind the caravan tho same little touring ear he had seen assembled in the Highland Park only a few minutes before. Tho Prince went to tho Detroit Club for a reception and at 8 o'clock was the guest of Edsel Ford at a dinner party in Mr Ford's home. This was followed bv a dance. J
