MILFORD AFFAIRS.
DESIRE FOR A SCHOOL.
A meeting of tho Mil ford Ratepayers Association was hold this week, Mr. A. Warbrick presiding. Much discussion took place with regard to the Education Department's attitude toward the erection of a school at Milford, as recommended by the Auckland Education Board. !%• was resolved that an endeavour be made to enlist the sympathy of the department. Tho question of drainago was also considered, and it was decided that a request be made to the Town Board to put the matter before the ratepayers early in the New Year. Appreciation of the work done by tho Town Board staff in keeping the streets and footpaths in order was expressed, the appointment of a local,inspector and constable also being commended. . . , „ . , A general meeting of the Ratepayers Association will be held early, in the New Year to elect candidates for the forthcoming borough council election.
