ACCEPTANCE DAY.

The A.R.C. summer programme will reQuire further attention, from horseovvnera to-day. Acceptances for the Auckland Cup, Railway Handicap, Robinson Handicap, Grafton Hurdle Race, Nursery Handicap, and Christmas Handicap, together with final payments for the Queen's Plate, Great Northern Foal Stakes, Great Northern Derby, and 30th Royal Stakes, close at 5 p.m. to-day.

Enthusiasm was struck out of all engagements at the A.R.C. Summer Meeting at 9 a.m. yesterday.

YESTERDAY MORNING'S WORK.

The outside of the course proper was available at Ellernlie yesterday morning and was freely used tor fast work. Tlio going was excellent.

COURSE PROPER.

Golden Glass easily defeated Queen tmerald over five furlongs from the new post la lm <j.s.

Ala Boughal covcred sis furlongs in lm '225. Joy Ride and Prettyman were better than oloepy 80l over five furlongs from the old post in lm Dp. frowning Beauty was well clear of Tngo San at the end ol six furlongs in lm 225. Gala, Day was going at his ease lor seven furlongs in lm 38 1-s*. Uralla and IVlhani were on terms at the conclusion of six furlongs in lm '20 1-us. Lady Hewn, Gold Peril and Cohesion finished in the order named over four lurlongs in 61 l-ss, while Weka defeated Sulla over the same distance, in 52 l-ss. Gold Jacket and Tresor journeyed over a mile and a-quarter in Cm 2"s, the last round taking 2m 11 '2-Es. The tormei finished in front. Shirley went uicely for four furlongs in 62 2-ss.

iSarnutere defeated Surveyor by several lengths over six furlongs in 3m '21 4-Ss. Bevis easily ran four furlongs in 5o 3-ss. and Broadwocd was not extended while running seven furlongs in lm 42 2-ss. Cawnnore was too good for Scot ITrre over five furlongs from the. new v>ost in lm 6s, and Ilka beat Barometer by two lengths over- the same distance from the old post in lm 7 4-ss.

Gold Light was a 'length in advance of Loyal Irish at tho conclusion of seven furlongs in lm 335. Kin? Pot strode well within himself fot six furlongs in lm 23 2-ss. Cool Stimulants got over seven furlongs in lm 36 4-ss.

Dorinda and Arch Amie negotiated a round in lira 8 l-ss, with tho former going the stronger at tho finish. Muaketoon was a shade in front of Tresillian at the conclusion of a mile and acjuarter in 2m 21 3 ss, the last round taking 2m 7s.

Exactly and Archibald ran six furlongs in lm 21s.

Muraahi and Royal Present easily defeated Polonctt over a mile and a-quarter, running the last round in 2m 5 l-oa. Poloneit is a very lazy worker. Dun Quin sprinted four furlongs nicely in 52 2-ss, and Mimetic gave Master Mind, Star Ranger, and Chari? a sound beating over the. same distance in 525. Winkie's Wheel, ridden by a light boy, run five furlongs from the old post, and from a flying start, in lm 5 4-ss. Daylight. who jumped off behind her at the three-furlonsr post, was on terms at tho finish. Ballymoy 11. defeated Pavo by a length and a-half over six furlongs in lm 20s. Romantic showed to more advantage than Waning Light over four furlongs in 54 2-s°. Gold Acre was better than La Choucas over four furldngs in 52 l-ss. Town Bank was in front of Tresham ai the end of seven furlongs, the last six of which were run in lm 19s. Luxurious and Royal Mint tripped over furlongs in 54 3-ss, and Yaqui beat Otauru over a similar distance in 52 3-ss. Master Doon and Tanadees were responsible for six furlongs in lm 19 2-ss, and Dazzling Light neat Gauntlet over the same around in lm 21s ; Piton was timed to run five furlongs from the old post in lm 8 1-59. Charlady easily defeated Pompey over six furlongs in lm 225. Passionate and Opaloid led Kamelianieha over a mile iu lm <19 l ; ss. King's Speech moved attractively over five furlongs from the old post in lm 6 l-ss. Tuahine, kicked out, ran four furlongs in 51 3-ss, the best half-mile of the morning. Tuscan took 55s to cover tho same distance. , _ Ring the Bell, Spoony and Steel Bar galloped nix furlongs in lm 19 !i-ss, finishing together.

AFTER BREAKFAST. Cherry Girl was just in front, of Lomint at the end of four turlongs in 53 l-ss. Turn accomplished six furlongs in lm 'JCs. Merry Damon and Holymond spurted three furlongs in 39 3-ss. Ludv Ridicule, lightly weighted, put up the best gallop of the. morning by running seven furlongs in Xm 29 3-ss. She ran her first furlons in 12s, two in 23 l-ss, three in 36 3-ss, and four in 495. . Quinconia and Harbour View sprinted three furlongs in 39 2-ss. Whizbro. Sunbar, and Portamento ran four furlongs in 56 2-ss, Cocoanut running the same distanco in 52 l-ss. Importer strodo along steadily for a milo and a-qunrter in 2m 17s. Fair Abbey tripped over four furlongs in 55 3-ss. Maniahera jumped off at the six-furlong post, but his rider lost an iron and ho was slowed down. OTHER TRACKS. Right and Left worked soundly on the tan, and Boomerday did paco work on tho same track. Marble Bell did pace work on the tan. ARRIVALS. The latest arrivals include Crown Coin and Far North. It was generally understood that Grnv would ride Dan Quin in the Rnilwav Handicap, but he stated yesterday that he would bo on Hipo. It is probaole that J. O'Shea. will have the mount na Dan Quin. J. Gray will ride Xastori in the Isursery Handicap. i R McTavish will ride Alfort if that liorso confers the Railway Handicap.. A. Tinker will steer Whetunui and King Lu on the opening day at Ellerslie. The Auckland horseman will be present at Awanuni for the second and third days of the Manawatu meeting, whore one of his mounts will bo Constellation. Besides Stork and Motley, H. Wicrgms has also been eng»ced to rule rre«ham, Orium, Ynqui, and Tactician oil Cup day. A. McCormac's mounts on Boxing Day will include Royal Present, Daylight and Master Mind.
