ACCEPTANCE DAY.

The A.R.C. summer programme will reQuire further attention, from horseovvnera to-day. Acceptances for the Auckland Cup, Railway Handicap, Robinson Handicap, Grafton Hurdle Race, Nursery Handicap, and Christmas Handicap, together with final payments for the Queen's Plate, Great Northern Foal Stakes, Great Northern Derby, and 30th Royal Stakes, close at 5 p.m. to-day.

Enthusiasm was struck out of all engagements at the A.R.C. Summer Meeting at 9 a.m. yesterday.

YESTERDAY MORNING'S WORK.

The outside of the course proper was available at Ellernlie yesterday morning and was freely used tor fast work. Tlio going was excellent.

COURSE PROPER.

Golden Glass easily defeated Queen tmerald over five furlongs from the new post la lm <j.s.

Ala Boughal covcred sis furlongs in lm '225. Joy Ride and Prettyman were better than oloepy 80l over five furlongs from the old post in lm Dp. frowning Beauty was well clear of Tngo San at the end ol six furlongs in lm 225. Gala, Day was going at his ease lor seven furlongs in lm 38 1-s*. Uralla and IVlhani were on terms at the conclusion of six furlongs in lm '20 1-us. Lady Hewn, Gold Peril and Cohesion finished in the order named over four lurlongs in 61 l-ss, while Weka defeated Sulla over the same distance, in 52 l-ss. Gold Jacket and Tresor journeyed over a mile and a-quarter in Cm 2"s, the last round taking 2m 11 '2-Es. The tormei finished in front. Shirley went uicely for four furlongs in 62 2-ss.

iSarnutere defeated Surveyor by several lengths over six furlongs in 3m '21 4-Ss. Bevis easily ran four furlongs in 5o 3-ss. and Broadwocd was not extended while running seven furlongs in lm 42 2-ss. Cawnnore was too good for Scot ITrre over five furlongs from the. new v>ost in lm 6s, and Ilka beat Barometer by two lengths over- the same distance from the old post in lm 7 4-ss.

Gold Light was a 'length in advance of Loyal Irish at tho conclusion of seven furlongs in lm 335. Kin? Pot strode well within himself fot six furlongs in lm 23 2-ss. Cool Stimulants got over seven furlongs in lm 36 4-ss.

Dorinda and Arch Amie negotiated a round in lira 8 l-ss, with tho former going the stronger at tho finish. Muaketoon was a shade in front of Tresillian at the conclusion of a mile and acjuarter in 2m 21 3 ss, the last round taking 2m 7s.

Exactly and Archibald ran six furlongs in lm 21s.

Muraahi and Royal Present easily defeated Polonctt over a mile and a-quarter, running the last round in 2m 5 l-oa. Poloneit is a very lazy worker.
