A ROBBERS' CAVE.
ON THE DUBLIN HILLS.
RAID BY DETECTIVES.
LONDON. Dec. 7.
Owing to the numerous armed robberies which havo occurred recently, detectives searched the Dublin hills. They discovered an enormous dug-out, which was temporarily tenantless.
The dug-out was furnished with beds, tables, chairs and stoves. Thero was also much food, including the carcases of sheep, all of which was the proceeds of robberies.
Two men approached tho dug-out at 4 a.m., and were summoned to surrender. The men fled, and the detectives opened firo with their revolvers. They shot one man in tho log, but ho escaped.
The other man, who was captured, was carrying a bag containing dead fowls.
