STRIPPED OF JEWELS.
DARING NEW YORK ROBBERY.
[ AGED BANKER ASSAULTED.
NEW YORK. Dec. 7.
New York's boldest robbery for many weeks was committed last night, when robbers trailed Mr. Jules Rosenberg, an aged banker, and his wife, who was formerly Countess Debois Lucy.
Evidently the bandits sped past their motor-car, reached tho 'Rosenberg home first, entered tho hall, and locked three attendants in tho elevator.
Mrs. Rosenberg's fingers were stripped of jewels worth £4000. She begged the robbers not to shoot her husband, but when ho tried to parley with them one bandit knocked him unconscious with the butt *of a gun. The robbers escaped in their car.
