BRITISH COLUMBIA'S MOVE.
TREATY DENOUNCED.
VICTOBIA (8.C.!. Dec. 9. Mr. William Sloan, tho Minister for Mines and Provincial Secretary in tho Government of British Columbia, has submitted a motion asking the Dominion Government to denounce tho treaty with Japan, insofar as it allows tho immigration of Japaneso into Canada. It, is probable that tho Legislature now sitting will pass the motion, for British Columbia is incensed at tho repeated disallowance by the Federal Government of the various provincial pacts, which sought to prohibit Japaneso from owning Crown timber lands, and engaging in mining and other natural resources .in British Columbia. This province desires. to have the whole matter brought before the Imperial Parliament, %
