PROFESSOR WINS PRIZE.
DR. STARR JORDAN'S PLAN.
SAN FRANCISCO. Dec. 8.
Dr. David Starr Jordan, chancellor emeritus of Stanford University, has won the prize of £5000 donated by Mr. Raphael Herman, of Washington, through the World Federation of Education Associations, for the best educational plan to maintain world peace.
Dr. Jordan recommends that this federation should study world amity through seven continuing committees on education for peace, the committees reporting frequently to national associations throughout the world.
