RAILWAY ACCIDENT.
SHUNTER'B KNEE CRUSHED.
AUCKLAND YARD MISHAP.
An accident resulting in a married man, Mr. Leonard Moyle, aged 27 years, sustaining injuries to a kneo, occurred early this morning at tho Auckland railway yards. Mr. Moyle was engaged in shunting operations, and a carriage which had moved collided with another. Ho was looking underneath tho carriages to ascertain whether any damage had been caused when some other shunters, not knowing he was there, caused a third van to set the other two in motion. Mr. Moyle's kneo was crushed between a wheel and a rail.
Tho injured man, who resides at 52, Old Mill Road, Grey Lynn, was removed to the Auckland Hospital. The exact nature of hia injuries will not bo known until an X-ray examination has been made this morning," but they are not considered to be serious.
