FATAL STREET ACCIDENTS.

London was still fog-bound at 5 o'dock this morning, after 56 hours of continuous absence of daylight. Throughout yesterday huge braziers were lighted at the Cenotaph, and acetylene flares were placed in the middle of the street in the city and West End. In Piccadilly sky signs were lighted; * Business was ' dislocated. Half the omnibuses were withdrawn, and traffic moved in convoys. Thames shipping was entirely suspended.
Two people were killed and 12 injured in street accidents.
Several large robberies were committed under cover of tho fog.
