RUGBY LEAGUE FINANCE.
HIGHLY SUCCESSFUL SEASON
PARK TO BE FURTHER IMPROVED.
The Auckland Rugby Football League experienced a highly successful season this year from a financial point of view. After paying insurance premiums for players and expending about £400 on improvements at Carlaw Park, the league shows a net profit to date, of £1640. The takings at Carlaw Park for the season, including the receipts at the : matches against the English team, totalled about £8000. The League's share of the aggregate receipts totalled £4569, an increase of £906 compared with the previous season. Further improvements at Carlaw Park for the better accommodation of the public are contemplated, including additions to the grandstand.
