There was inquiry for most issues of Government securities on the Auckland sharemarkf!t ( on Saturday. Rates remained the same as on Friday with the exception that buyers of Soldiers' Inscribed Stock advanced from £101 5s to £101 7s 6d. In banks buyers of Nationals o£ New Zealand receded from £6 Us to £6 10s. .Holders of New South Walts increased by 53 to £42, buyers dropping a similar amount to £41. Holders of New Zealands quoted 56s 3d, with buyers at 553 9d. In insurances New Zealands remained at practically the same figures, buyers 29s 6d, sellers 30s. Holders of South British advanced from 41s to 41s 3d, with buyers receding 3d to 40s 6d. In miscellaneous lines, quotations were generally at late figures. In timber Bartholomews sold afc 235. In mining there was a sale of Waihis at 30s, with holders at 30s 3d, buyers 29s 9d. Waihi Grand Junctions were quoted at holders 3s, buyers 2s Bd. The following sales took place;—Waihi, 30s; Bartholomew Timber, 235.
