FORMATION IN AUCKLAND,
MEMORY MUSIC CONTEST.
A decision to form an Auckland Competitions Society has been made by those interested. A committee has been elected and the proposed • activities of the society considered. Owing' to the shortness cl time ! it will not be possible -to hold a competition festival: in AucklancTthis year, but the society hopes to hold a '•memory music ; contest" about ■ August or September. The form of this contest^ will be announced later. - t A choir . contest for next summer is another function to be kept in view, while next winter the regular . competitions festival will! be inaugurated. The membership list of -file society is now open. -
