KILLED BY MOTOR-CAR.
DOMINION ROAD ACCIDENT. DEATH OF A- WIDOW. WALKED BEHIND TRAM-CAR. I Fatal injuries were received on Saturday night, about eleven o'clock, ;by a widow, Mrs. Gertrude Johnson,' aged 49, as the result of being knocked down by a motor-car in Dominion Road. - Mrs.; Johnson, who : resided ;at 9, Carrick Place, alighted from a tramcar, and, walking behind it, stepped in front a motor-car. She was knocked down and run over, being unconscious .when picked up. Medical aid was summoned, and the unfortunate woman was removed to the hos--pital, where death ensued at 11.40 p.m.
