[BT : TELEGRAPH.OWN - CORRESPONDENT.]
TAURANGA. Thursday. At a meeting of the Te Puna branch of the Farmers' Union, the question of the proposed site of the Te Puna railway station was discussed in accordance with a resolution which was passed at the preceding meeting. A letter had been sent to the Minister for Public Works, protesting against the erection of the station on the bank of the Wa'roa River, it being claimed that the site is liable to flood, and that it is inconvenient from the point of view of the Te Puna settlers. The Minister's reply to the protest was to the effect that the question would be considered. It was decided that a public meeting of all .concerned bo held.
