Preparatory to the . appointment of a Wages Board, to discuss points which remain unsettled; • further conversations
have taken place between the representatives of the Amalgamated Society of Railway Servants and the Minister for Railways, the Hon. J. G. Coates, with reference to conditions in the Railway Service. The Minister stated this evening that some progress had been made It is understood unofficially that a chairman of the board has been appointed.
