Bis form was an improvement on what he showed at Fotfbury. The best performance at Addington to-day was that of Harbour Light .in winning the Liverpool Handicap. Handicapped at 4.42. he went 4.36 2-5 on a slow track. .A' week ago at Forbury he was beaten twice, and hip owner had to run the gauntlet Of! an inquiry. It was only after a very lengthy Rearing that it wag decided to take no action. ' ~ _. ~ Hackthorne, who won the Juvenile Handicap at the Metropolitan Trotting Club «» meeting to-day, is a thTee-year-old brother to the New Zealand Cup winner. Great Hone. He ,is a solid oustomer, likely to improve a lot yet. ■ Taurekareka showed lots of spesd but was stopping at the finish. Nelson's Fame performed badly. ■ Peter Swift ia a really good trotter. He won well at Forbury a week ago. and today at Addington he made a useful field look very cheap. It is hard to say what he can do. A. Fleming will probably go to Auckland next week with Locanda Mac. who is engaged in the chief events at the Otabuhu Trotting Club's meeting, He went well at Aldington to-day, when he finished second to Loganwood in the Midsummer Handicap.
