The Ashburton TrottinG Club is, included among the bodies plavlng. a prominent part in the fostering of the light-harness sport on a high plane, and the Naw Zealand Sapling Stakes (for two-year-olds), which they instituted some years back, is down to their credit. The conditions attached to th* New Zealand Sapling Stakes to be run at tin* Ashburton meeting in Jnne, 1925, , are now published. The value of the race is £ 760. with a cup of the value of £»0 added. tho published in another column it -will be seen that nominations close with the secretary, Mr. Alfred A. Pooks. on Thursday next, at 6 p.m.
