ALEXANDRA PARK.
PROPOSED NEW GRANDSTAND.
The erection of a new grandstand at Alexandra Park is to be undertaken shortly, as tenders for the work close on December 17. The architects, Messrs Norman Wade and A. M. Hartley, have drawn up plans providing for a stand of bold design, of structural steel and reinforced concrete, backing the range Of terraces already competed.* JTh*" debentures of a total value of £60,000 issued by the Auckland Trotting Club in September last for ' the improvements to the park were all taken up within a few days.
