PRESENTATION.
A presentation was made at Tauranga recently to Mr. H. E. Vokes, late secretary of the Jockey Club and a vicepresident of the Tauranga Regatta Club. Air. Yokes, who was a keen supporter of all the sports clubs in the district, has left Tauranga to embark upon business in Auckland. The Mayor of Tauranga made the presentation which took the form of a suitcase and travelling rug. Representatives of the various clubs with which Mr. Vokes had been connected were present and spoke appreciatively of the part he had played in connection with sport in the district.
