SERVICE ON JURIES. GOSPEL PREACHER EXEMPTED. IB* TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.! HAMILTON. TuesdayConscientious objections to service on a jury were advanced by R. J. Pethybridge before Mr. Justice - Stringer in the' Supreme Court. Hamilton, in a'sking . fop exemption. He stated that as a Christian and one who took part in gospel preaching he could not sit on a jury and record his verdict - against his fellowman. His Honor told the objector that if those were his views it was better that he should be exempted, but the jury system would collapse if everybody held similar views.
