BUILDINGS IN PROGRESS, *v- 1 •" '' . • ■ Probably no suburban district reflects more strikingly the remarkable expansion of Auckland than Epsom. A large block of land, having frontages to 'Pah Road, Selwyn Road and Torrance Street, and ■which a few months ago was a grazing paddock, is now the sit© of neat residential properties. Quite a dozen new houses just completed are -already occupied, while probably a similar number is in course of J erection. , " " At Greenwood's Corner a block of about sue shops is being built, while at the Ranfurly Road car stop, in Manukau Road, two blocks of shops, one on either side of the road, haVe just" been , erected, one block being already occupied. At, Upland's Road, Remuera, at least six new dwellings are being built, several of a substantial type. At Green Lane, adjacent to the station, a number of houses are in course of erection, while at Ellerslie, the ; next train stop, much activity in the building line is being displayed. A block' of shops in the main street; near the station, has just been finished, while numerous houses are under construction. :
