BEAUTIFYING SOCIETY. [by TELEGRAPH.—OWN CORRESPONDENT. • t TAURANGA, Monday. At a meeting of the executive committee of the Beautifying Society it was reported that a fairly good response had been made by the public to the appeal for funds. Several donations of trees -were also promised. A sub-committee was appointed to investigate the possibilities of establishing and planting plants at Judea or Hairini. It was decided to hold a cottage garden competition this year. The constitution of the Tauranga electric power district, comprising , the County of . Tauranga, has been gazetted. The election of seven representatives to serve on the Power Beard will probably be. held next month.
