MR. WILFORD'S MESSAGE.

EYES ON TAURANGA.

[BY TELEGRAPH.OWQ CORRESPONDENT.] TB AROHA. Wednesday. Mr. W. Noton, the Liberal organiser in. the Tauranga electorate, has received the following communication from the Leader of the Opposition, Mr. T. M. Wilford: — " You can understand with what interest I am watching the Tauranga election. It is of such moment to us that the 1400 minority should be turned into a majority for Liberalism. I am glad to hear that Sir Joseph Ward was fit and well, and I certainly hope that the election will strengthen him physically and bring him back to his old state of health. Personally I am sorry the committees decided not to have the help of Messrs. W. A. Veitch, R. Masters, and myself. I should have been delighted to speak on behalf of Sir Joseph Ward, and to tell the people of Tauranga from inside knowledge what a help he would be to the Liberal Party and, in fact, to the country were he returned as member."
