EPIDEMICS AND FAMINE.
A. and N.Z. CAPETOWN. March 20. Extensive flooding in the Zambesi country has caused a serious situation. Railway communication is broken and thousands of natives have been driven from their kraals. Pneumonia and influenza- have broken out and famine is threatening. In Nyassaland the greater part of the tobacco crop was destroyed.
