MINE MANAGERS' REPORTS. Moanataiari.— During the past week tin crosscut was advanced 25ft., and is now in 657 ft. from the main level. The country is still good. The drive on the reef is in 20ft. The lode is a strong body of ore, and colours of gold have been seen in the quartz. New Waiotahi—Driving has been continued on the footwall lead, which has opened out to 18in. in width- The country is very favourable and the auartz looks promising for gold. Work on No. 2 stop© has been continued, and the lead shows dabs of gold when breaking down Ohinemuri.— The drive on the Camoola reef is now in 421 ft. south of the main* crosscut. The reef is still the full width of the drive, with neither wall showing. Driving was temporarily suspended owing to the shortage of water for power purposes. Rising Sun.— water in the shaft has been lowered another Bft., making a total of 92ft. from the collar. We are now 4ft. 6in- off the bottom- I like the look of the country (although very hard) all the more os the water appears to be coming from the direction in which we expect to cut the No. 8 reef at the lower level.
