BANKRUPT ELECTRICIANS.

DISCHARGE TO BE OPPOSED. ,N [BY TELEGRAPH.OWN CORRESPONDENT.] HAMILTON, Wednesday. A deficit of £290 was shown in the bankrupt estate of Jones and Holloway, electrical engineers, Hamilton, at a meeting of creditors held yesterday. Bankrupts ascribed their failure to lack of business knowledge, to want of capital, and to the fact that they had bought in a dear market and sold in a cheap one. They engaged an accountant to make their book entries, and he advised them last December that they were considerably in debt. i. Their creditors : allowed them to go on. The deputy official assignee remarked that it seemed to him bankrupts had displayed no business aptitude, and they should not be allowed to trade again until they had proved their business capabilities. , The meeting instructed the deputy ofliciaJL,assignee to oppose bankrupts' discharge for two years.
