[BY TELEGRAPH.KIEBR ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHTJRCH. Wednesday. At the swimming carnival to-night, the 50yds. New Zealand junior girls' breast-stroke record was lowered by the holder, Dorothy Brewards, by 2£s., the time being 41 l-ss. H. S. Batchelor's New Zealand 100 metres back-stroke record of 86 4-ss. was broken by L. • J. Moorhouso, who covered the distance in 86 l-ss. ~ •
