LADY JELLICOE'S HORSE WINS

The Napier Park Racing Club's Autumn Meeting was concluded at Greenmcadows to-day in beautiful weather, and there was a . large attendance A highly pleasing feature in the afternoon's racing was the victory of Lady Jellicoe's colours in the Kuao Handicap, which event was won by Her Excellency's horse Gartmore. There was an enthusiastic outburst when Gartmore came back to the enclosure, hearty cheers being given for Her Excellency and also for the jockey and horse. The totalisator handled £17,504, being £1836 less thnn the concluding day last year. The total for the meeting was £31,439, as against £35.139 last year. Haurangi and Rapine, who were always prominent, fought out an interesting finish, Haurangi winning by a neck from his three-year-old rival. Rapine was two lengths in front of Correspondent.
