BRITISH LABOUR DEMAND.
REMISSION OF REPARATION.

The Independent Labour Party has issued a manifesto setting out, the plans of the party to replace the policy of inaction adopted by the Government. The manifesto denounces the French occupation of the Ruhr region as a breach of international law. It advocates ending the Allied occupation of th« Rhineland, the waiving of all claims for reparation, cancellation of all or part of the allied debt, recognition of the Russian Government, and the summoning of a world conference to co-operate with the League of Nations to re-form the Versailles Treaty and to initiate definite proposals for world disarmament.
