LOWER POSTAL CHARGES.
INCREASE OF 10 PER CENT. [BY TELEGRAPH. —I'EJSSS ASSOCIATION.] CHRISTCHURCH. Monday.
Inquiries made at* the post office showed that there had been a considerable increase in business since the reduction of the postal rates. Each succeeding day has shown an increase on tho amount of mail matter handled, compared with tho quantity usually passing through the post at this time of year. The increase in posted matter since the reduction is approximately estimated at 10 per cent. «„-.. •
