ARRIVAL IN CITY TO-DAY. PROGRAMME FOR THE .WEEK The representative party of 21 Queensland bowlers will arrive in Auckland by this afternoon's express f from Hamilton, and will be met on arrival by the mem* bers of the Auckland 'Bowling ■ Centre Management Committee. ' .The; visitors, many of whom are accompanied by their wives, will be ' tendered a civic reception at the Town Hall council chamber tfijs evening at 7.15 by the Mayor, Mr. J. H. 'Guhson. Immediately after the recep tion, a welcome will be given by >< local bowlers at the Auckland Bowling Clubs pavilion. - '. ;\ To-morrow, the visitors will be .entertained at a harbour excursion by the New Zealand Bowling Association. On Monday -they will make a : trip, to Takapuna, playing a game on the. Takapuna green. The president of the Auckland centre, Mr. J. W. Hardley, has charge of day's arrangements. In the morning ; a j motor-trip through the Domain, Ellershe racecourse, to One Tree Hill, Mangere, and Howick will taka place,' and the visitors will play a game in the afternoon on the Howick green; The: team will. be the guests of the Pukekohs Bowling Club on Wednesday. On Thursday, two representative matches ; between Queensland and Auckland * will be I played at the Auckland Club's green, i In the evening of the same day, a match, Visitors ;v. i All Whites will be played under electric light at the Ponsonby .green. ; - The =team will ..return ; : to.
