VERDICT OF NOT GUILTY.
NAYLO'R CASE CONCLUDED, [by TELEGRAPH. —OWN COBRESPOPDZS 1 '! HAMILTON. Frid»y. At ' the Supreme Court to-day, before Mr. Justice Herdman. Henry Hallows Naylor was . charged with indecent assault at Ngaruawahia. The jury returned a verdict of not guilty, and tM accused wan discharged. The case was a most unusual one. Naylor was first charged, before justices of "the peace at Ngamawahia, with indecent assault. The justices reduced tM charge to one of common assaufo, *° d sentenced the prisoner to a month's ilß' prisonment. *. Upon the expiration of the term, Naylor was again arrested and charged wita indecent assault. The magistrate committed him to the Supreme Court ff*. fcjal. At the first trial the jury disagreed, the second trial ending as stated.
