, OBJECT OF REVOLUTION.
REMOVAL OF PRO-GERMANS. A. and N.Z. ATHENS. Oct. 1. A" semi-official statement defines the object of the revolution as being to bring Greece bade -within the Allied family circle. All political and military authorities suspected of pro-Germanism or otherwise opposed to the Allies are being ruthlessly removed. The governor of the National Bank and the Deputy of Police at Athens have been arVosted.
General Gonatas, the military leader, issued a manifesto stating that the revolution was proclaimed in order to retain Thrace. Ho aims at the solid reorganisation of the military forces and the cessation of vague discords.
Ex-JCing Con titan tine and his family have gone to Palermo, Sicily. All- those arrested in connection with Greece's misfortune will be kept in custody till the National Assembly 'has decided on the procedure to be followed. The existinc Assembly has been declared dissolved, and an election will be held in November.
Members of the revolutionary committee were cheered through the streets by crowds delirious with excitement.
