AVONDALE ROAD BOARD.
The Avondale Road Board met on Tuesday. Mr. W. J. Tait presided, and there were also present:—Messrs. Fleming, T Wilson. A. Hsfllam. D. Wilson, T. Roe. and Spargo. The district medical health officer reported having inspected the Uiinese dwellings in the district. The houses wero in very fair erudition, but he recommended a number of minor improvements, The Hon. C. J. Parr. Minister for Education, notified the board that he would formally open the Avondale Manual and Technical School on the afternoon of Thursday, Aoril 27. In response to an application for a subscription toward the cost of a bathing shed at Green Bay, the board decided to subscribe £2 2s if the plan be first submitted and approved. The State Advances Office notified that an additional £3000 had been placed to the board's credit in connection with the waterreticulation loan.
