MINISTERS' MOVEMENTS.
o The Minister for Public Works, the Hon. J. G. Coates, returned to Wellington last evening. On -Saturday morning he conferred with the Mayor of Auckland, Mr. J. H. Gunson, on the subject of developing the- Arapuni hydro-electric power scheme, and in the afternoon he attended the summer show of the Franklin Agricultural and Pastoral Society at Pukekohe. He returned to Auckland in the evening. The Hon. Dr. M. Pomare, Minister representing the native race, arrived in Auckland on Saturday evening, and left, for the King Country yesterday. The Hon. C. J. Parr, Minister for Health and Education, iB expected to leave Wellington for Auckland to-day to represent the Government, at the spdsi request of the Methodist Conference, at the Methodist centenary celebrations.
