BALACLAVA CHARGE.
LAST OF THE SIX HUNDRED.
DEATH OF TRUMPETER. Australian and N.Z. Cable Association. (Becd. 7.30 p.m.) LONDON. Feb. 23. The death is announced of Trumpeter Richardson, at the age of 91 years. He was the last survivor of the Battle of Balaclava. He was operated on in 1920 on iiccount of wounds received in the charge of the Light Brigade on October 25, 1854, and seven fragments of canister shot were then removed.
