LORD ALLENBY RETURNING.
IN ACCORD WITH CABINET. A. and N.Z. LONDON, Feb. 17. The Daily Chronicle suggests that the protectorate should bo abolished and a new Egyptian Government, with an assembly, set up. Britain could negotiate a settlement with tho now Government, including the question of the Sudan, and control Egypt's foreign relations.
The Daily Chronicle adds that as a result of conferences with tho Government, Lord Allenby is returning to Egypt in complete agreement with the policy of tho British Government. He will attempt to secure the co-operation of the Egyptians. The text of the new proposals will not be published until Lord Allenby has reached Cairo.
