MANAWATU STOCK SALES. Abraham and Williams, Ltd., report:— At our Palmerston North stock sale on Thursday, a good yarding of BheeD and a fair entry of cattle came forward. Sheep mot with a ready sale at prices on a par with other sales. Mixed aged ewes made from 8s Id to 10s; 4 and 5-year ewes, 14s, Ms lOd, to 15s; cull 4-tooths, 10s; Btore lambs, 6s sd. 7s, to 9s 3d; oull lambs. 3s to 4s Id; spriuging cows, £8 to £12; store cows, £1, £1 10s, to £2: forward cows, £2 ss, £3, to £3 lis: weaner heifers, £2 to £3 Us 6d; weaner bulls, 38s. £2. to £2 10s. At Foilding, on Friday, a partlralarlv heavy yarding of sheep camo forward, molud ng some very nice linee of lambs and wethers. The quality of the ewes was only fair. In the fat pens the quality on the wholo was not good, but prices were very steady. S"toro sheep showed an inclination to weaken a triflo, although anything really good sold freely. Cattle were scarce, some nico quality fat bullocks selling at late rates. Store cattle were dull. We quote:— Fat sheep: Lambs, \% 6d. 17s 9d, 17s lOd, 18s lid, 19s, to 20s: wethers, 193, 19s 3d, 20s. to 21s: light, 15s; ewes, 13s, 15s, to 16s 4d; unfinished, 9s 6d to 12s.
