The Farmers' Institute provides the headquarters for the varioun local institutions particularly devoted to the interests of the farming community. It is conducted bv a limited liability company, of which Mr. J. G. Wynyard is secretary, and upon a property of 1J acres in the centre of the town provides yarding accommodation for vehicles and horses, rooms for meetings, tea and refreshment rooms, and a ladies' 100 m.
