PRODUCE FOR BRITAIN.
SHIPMENTS LAST WEEK.
SIX STEAMERS DESPATCHED
Large quantities of produce were despatched from New Zealand last week, when six steamers, with an aggregate carrying capacity of over 60,000 tons, left Wellington for the United Kingdom. The Tairoa, 7983 tons, sailed on Thursday for Hull and London, and on the same day the Westmeath, 8129 tons, cleared for Avonmouth, Liverpool, Manchester, and Glasgow. The following day the Arawa, 9372 tons, was despatched for Southampton and London, and on Saturday tho Rimutaka, 8893 tons, and the Port Albany, 5714 tons, both left for London. On Snnday the Gallic, 7912 tons, sailed for London.
